One of the most common requests we’ve had over the past few weeks is to make follow-along videos for our community. This would be in contrast to the more “instructional” videos we were making before which would involve a shortened/compressed class. Within the video, you’d have instructions on the parameters of the exercises/drills – only issue was that our viewers would have to pause the video in order to complete the exercise, hence making them less engaging.
So instead, we are trying out a follow-along strategy. The goal is to eventually make these videos into a live stream that our followers can access via YouTube Live and Facebook Live. As the month of Ramadan approaches, it’s important we have fasting and exercise go hand in hand. This means that we keep active, even without food/water in our bellies as to maintain our health.
This video is a simple preview of our plans. The goal is to accomplish 30 minute live stream videos 3 times per week during the month of Ramadan (likely a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday combo). These would take place right before iftar which would allow you to fuel up after completion. Remember, it’s important as an individual to remain complete. This means addressing the mind and spirit, as well as the body during this holy month.
Fasting and exercise will be important this month. This follow-along series will give our viewers the opportunity to learn martial arts instruction as well as fitness exercises. This promotes the double benefit of learning how to protect yourself and getting/staying in shape. We love the concept of increasing the benefits behind these exercises, and we hope you do too. Of course, we will eventually offer ways you can do each of the drills with lower difficulty, medium difficulty, and high difficulty. The end goal is to get a good workout that will keep you moving, and upbeat for the entire month.
So stay tuned for the live series – it will be based on the concept of fasting and exercise. If you have any questions about our approach, please leave a comment in the section below. If you love the concept and would like to support our page, please like and subscribe. It’s you guys that keep us going after all 🙂
