You’re Not Alone
It all started with Khaled “Konga” three time world kickboxing champion and his vision. Konga dedicated his whole life to Martial Art and created a philosophy from his years of heavy training, traveling and history. He manifested his philosophy into what now is our martial arts program, which is like no other.
Are you always worrying about your child’s future? Do you feel helpless when you see your kids glued to the screen all the time?
You’re not alone! Ours is a fast-paced and screen heavy reality. Our world is night & day different from what it was just 40 years ago.
Our Mission
It can be overwhelming….but it doesn’t have to be! Movement is medicine. For adults AND children. In fact, health and fitness experts have realized that a child’s natural state of movement is actually what adults should aim to return to.
Our mission at KONGA is to make sure your kids never forget their true selves and identity. Our kids’ martial arts programs are designed to instill a love for:
- Active movement
- Real respect & discipline
- Healthy eating, and
- A true fighter’s mindset

Why Respect & Discipline?
At KONGA, when your child comes to class, they are treated just as fairly and equally as every other student. That means, everyone yells “RESPECT & DISCIPLINE” when:
- Entering the matted area
- Starting class, and
- Ending class
It’s no secret that our fast-paced world has exposed our children to much more than they can handle at their young ages. The vulgarity and profanity around them is overwhelming.
When your kids join the KONGA family, we want them to grow up to be real leaders of tomorrow. That starts with respect and discipline.
Our Core
At the core, we instill a sense of respect for:
- Parents by encouraging kids to follow their parent’s instructions
- Coach and teachers by listening and following their instructions
- Others especially other family members by NOT practicing martial arts on them
As for discipline, martial arts is a practice in discipline itself. This teaches kids at a young age to rule over themselves.
“My kids and I have been coming to Konga for a couple years. The coaches and staff are very warm and committed. The kids kickboxing classes not only teach the authentic sport but great values such as respect, discipline and healthy eating.” – Zahra Merchant
Why Fighters?
Repeatedly, throughout class, our coaches instill the value that everyone is a fighter. Here’s how:
- Coach calls out “Who are we?!”
- Kids respond “FIGHTERS”
Our emphasis on being a fighter comes from the experience and legacy of our founder’s family tradition. It’s important for everyone to realize that we are “fighters” at heart. For us to build a happy and successful life, we have to fight. Not physically, but as a mindset. Here is what this looks like for your kids when they join the KONGA family:
- If you lose, you think about how to come back stronger than before
- Always looking for ways to improve. No room to cry over spilled milk
- Attitude of going after your dreams without being arrogant
